With all due respect, recommending buying your book just to get the list of
charts needed for this cruise sounds a little self serving to me. If that's
what someone wants to do, (buy strip charts) they can get a FREE catalog of
all the noaa charts and pick the ones you want. Anywhere tht sells the strip
charts will have the little brochure.

By the way, even at $125, the Barway Pilot Guide that covers Houston to NO
may just be the best buy out there. Their website says it is updated in
2008. The one I have is 2002 and is pretty accurate.

NO financial connection to any of these whatsoever.

Brent,
You are absolutely correct. Any store that sells charts has the FREE
CHART CATALOG that lists all charts( of the Gulf ICW). The Barway chart
book was developed for the commercial tows by commercial pilots. It is
very good and in use on countless tow boats. Billions of dollars worth
of cargo is transported every yr relying on Barway!!!! That should make
it sufficient for us pleasure boaters!!
It certainly beats purchasing the individual SC Charts!!!!( Or a book
with a list of charts, as you stated!!!)
Note that I do not have an interest in Barway but have used it on a
friends boat. I have the SC charts, some dating back to 1972 I have made
untold notes and updates on them. Barway came out many years after I
purchased my SC charts.

CCC
p.s.

Note that my web site address has changed. Still all free information on
it, with no purchase necessary!!!!
