Would appreciate a source for the mesh screens that are mounted externally
to reduce solar heat.

Thanks,

Rick

Sunbrella makes a shade material, available through Sailrite:

You can probably find it through any canvas shop. You can also search for
"shade fabric", "pfeifertex", or "shade cloth" although the last one will
probably bring up a lot of stuff for greenhouses that wouldn't be applicable
to marine applications.

If you are looking for just material I can recommend some sun shade material being sold by Home Depot. They have three colors (that I saw) biege, green and black. On advise of neighbor, I purchased the beige. He constructed a VERY nice shade for his deck 3 years ago from this material and it is holding up remarkably well in the S. FL sun.

I am in the design phase for mine but plan on making both window shades and deck shade. Not sure how I will attach the exterior window shades yet. I bought 3 rolls at <$30 each. Each roll is 6' x 20'. I didn't notice the mil of it.
