The web site worked fine for me too.  I had not heard of Opinell.  Every year for the past 20 years we have ordered knives with our business logo engraved to give to our best customers.  It has been getting harder and harder to find something that doesn't look similar to last years

Thanks to all the folks on this site,,,,I have now found a new possiblilty.

Strange, I just tried it and went right in. If you can here is the toll free number:
800-282-3750

Good Luck,
Keep your powder dry!

Do we really want four more years of Obama unrestrained? Setting in the most powerful chair of our country with no fear of reprisal for any of his actions?

You can get Opinel knives at Lee Valley,
http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=31079&cat=1,130,43332,43393

The design if these is mighty simply. The blade folds into a slot in the
wooden handle, and you rotate the steel ring to lock the blade. They rust,
though.

Further to Rudy's comments about making a knife from a Sawzall blade, you
can also use a power hacksaw blade. These are about 12" long and 1" deep,
and make a hell of a knife. They are the hardest steel I have ever worked,
and stay sharp forever.
