Here's another idea for a support. Take a 2x4 that is two
feet longer than needed. Cut it in half, and put in a
shollow notch in one end. Stand the two pieces up, over
lapping them, under the bow with the notch around the bow.
Clamp or screw the overlap together with enough screws to
handle any weight that might accummulate on the top. Might
want to put a square of plywood under the pole to protect
the deck.
Nifty, quick and no tedious measurements. Now Myrna, when
you get finished with all this sawing and screwing, make
sure that Bob pours you a nice drink!
