SCC is sponsoring 3 rides & events at the upcoming Salida Bike Fest. They are all open to the public. 9:00AM THU 14SEP - Amicas SCC BAM ride. Leaving from Amicas we will ride 20-30 miles at an average 11-13MPH pace. We try not to drop anyone, and we regroup often. 7:00PM THU 14SEP - Salida Steamplant Travelogue Presentation. The travelogue presentation will feature a panel of three incredible long-distance mountain bike and road bike riders. The panel includes Aaron Weinsheimer, Kent Davidson and Janie Hayes. Come listen to their incredible stories of their journeys on two-wheels. Entry fee of $5 per person. Cash bar will be available. SCC will be giving away some prizes to those in attendance. 8:30AM SUN 17SEP - Amicas SCC Pastry Ride. Leaving from Amicas we ride our bikes for a while on Sunday morning and then we eat pastries. We'll ride around 30 miles; please bring sufficient water and dress for the weather. The ride will finish back at Amicas for pastries, fruit, juice and coffee.
