For anyone presently doing the Great Loop, cruising or living in the Mobile,
Alabama, area, join us at an America's Great Loop Cruisers' Association
mini-rendezvous at Eastern Shore Marina in Fairhope, Alabama, the first
weekend of November. Contact Kay and Lee Ladd and inform them of your plans.
Following is more details about the  event from the Ladd's.

There will be a mini rendezvous in Fairhope, AL, Nov. 3 & 4 at Eastern Shores
Marina for any Loopers or want-to-be's. Ron & Eva Stob will put their boat in
and try to meet with us there. Please pass this message along to anyone you
feel might like to join in on the fun. Here is the info on the marina:
General Manager  -  Ed Wall
848 Seacliff Drive
Fairhope, AL  36532
334-928-1283
800-458-7245
Directions:  COMING FROM THE NORTH - Exit the Mobile Ship Channel at
Marker 72 and steer a course of 90 degrees (due east) for 1 mile, then turn
to 125 degrees for 6.5 N miles to Red Marker #2 in the FLY CREEK Channel.
Follow the markers into FLY CREEK and Eastern Shore Marine is the 1st Marine
on the left. The fuel dock is past the big covered sheds and travel lift
slip. The Fairhope Yacht Club is on the right as you enter the channel.
Please call the marina and make a reservation and tell them that you are a
Looper.

This Marina is a participating Boat/US marina. We have talked to Ed and he
has quoted the price of  $.75 per foot for one night, with a 25% discount for
Boat US ($.56 a foot) and a $.10 discount on fuel. Ed says he can take care
of all who wish to attend. You will need to call and make your own
reservations 334-928-1283 or 1-800-458-7245.

There is a Boat/US Store in Mobile (334-414-5447). The marina has a courtesy
car and we could arrange to pick up what ever you need for your boat. We are
planning to spend several days here.

No special plans for the week-end, but we are trying to make arrangements to
eat at the yacht club (on Sat night) a very short distance away. Fairhope is
a neat little town and nice shopping for the ladies, maybe a shopping outting
will happen on Sat. The gals could do their thing together as the guys talk
engines. I do know that we will have a good time (what better fun as with
fellow Loopers). We will put together a dinner and other things to keep you
as busy as you would want or just sit around as share all those marvelous
experiences we have in common.

Please send us an e-mail (LLadd68321@aol.com) or call on our cell phone
(513-218-6410) if you plan to attend.
