ARTIST TRUST'S 2014 EDGE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR VISUAL ARTISTS

Application Deadline: March 24, 2014

Visual artists are encouraged to apply to the 2014 EDGE Professional Development Program for Visual Artistshttp://artisttrust.org/index.php/for-artists/opportunity/edge_professional_development_program_for_visual_artists. The EDGE Program provides artists with a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field, as well as specialized presentations, panel discussions and assignments. EDGE supplies artists with the relevant and necessary entrepreneurial skills to achieve their personal career goals and with the opportunity to develop peer support and exchange.

Two cycles of the 52-hour EDGE Program are being offered: June 20-August 1, 2014 in Seattle (Saturday sessions) and August 16-23, 2014 in Port Townsend (one-week residential intensive).

EDGE is open to emerging or mid-career visual artists. Applicants must be residents of Washington State, but cannot be students enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program. Applicants must commit to completing the entire 50+ hour program. Tuition is $500-545 (Seattle) and $750-795 (Port Townsend; includes lodging). Assistance for Latino/a artists is available through the Latino/a Scholarship Fund for Professional Development.
