The link below is a little blast from the past that most of y’all have likely never heard (I only just heard for 1st time a minute ago) - 2/5/2010 on Public Radio’s program “Living on Earth” my brother Patrick Dugan was interviewed along with Frank Gallo, both phenomenal CT birders, about Patrick’s amazing ability to replicate bird songs, the audio is only a few minutes long:

https://www.loe.org/shows/segments.html?programID=10-P13-00006&segmentID=8 https://www.loe.org/shows/segments.html?programID=10-P13-00006&segmentID=8

Or you can do a web search for “Living on Earth Bird Whistler”.

Thanks Jim, lovely to hear again! Some years ago we had Patrick and Frank perform at Whitney Center. Frank showed the bird picture on the screen and Patrick whistled the call!! Wonderful!  What a talent!

Thank you, Jim -- that was a wonderful Living on Earth and I'm so awed by Patrick!  Wish I could whistle like that...  Brought a big smile to a day that needed one!
