Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers:        Darlene Friedman, Fred Kirn, Walt Pawloski

Visitors:
Macklin Smith
Pete Przybylski
Tom Weeker
Tim Smart
Alan Ryff

Weather:
Today saw a mix of sun and cloud with moderate west-northwest winds.

Raptor Observations:
With the cooler temperatures today and the first really appropriate wind
direction in some time, the flight was steady throughout the day even into
early evening. I suppose what shouldn’t be surprising is that the vultures
continue to move in good numbers. They were balanced against a very good
Buteo movement to produce the best passage of birds this month thus far.

Non-raptor Observations:
Cave Swallows continue to be the hot topic at the watch as far as
non-raptors. The sightings today were 5 at 1:20, 5 at 2:25 and a mixed
group of 30+ at 2:45. This latter group was predominately Caves mixed with
a few Trees.
