Wendy Grava, Fred Jazvac and I viewed seven White-winged Crossbills feeding
on spruce cone seeds for about ten minutes at 1:20 pm. this afternoon. The
location was identified by James Turland of Kincardine when he led a recent
field trip of the Bruce County Birding Club.

Directions:

South of Kincardine; .9 km. west of Highway 21 on Concession 12. The birds
gave terrific scoped views, feeding near the tops of 3 spruce trees beside
the road, adjacent to hydro pole #6971 (the first hydro pole past North
Baseline Road on the south side).
