Pete,

I can't help with a replacement Boat Nanny, but I can tell you about an excellent alternative.  I have a unit from Siren Marine (www.sirenmarine.com) that provides all of the functions of the Boat Nanny and more, at about 1/2 the Boat Nanny original retail cost.

I have the Siren Marine "Sprite" unit, which monitors Shore Power for me.  It has the GPS geofence feature, and I have it set up to monitor my bilge pump and my high bilge alarm switch.  It automatically monitors my batteries, and the boat's interior temperature.  When any of the pre-set monitor condition occurs, I get a text message.  There is an iOS only app to make talking to the device easy.  On android, they have just rolled out an app, but I have no experience with it.  The M2M text service is provided by T-Mobile and costs about $15.00 per month, paid yearly.  I titch expensive in my opinion, but the unit provides peace of mind when we're away from the boat.

I have a product description on my website, here:
https://gilwellbear.wordpress.com/category/boat-technical-topics/equipment-topics/boat-monitoring-system/.

No personal financial interest; but, a very happy customer.

Jim

Thanks again for your pointer and recommendation on this.

Upon review of the product and feature set I just purchase a Pixie unit, Shore Power Monitoring option and a seasonal subscription.

I hope to get it next week so I can setup/install.
