Wing design considerations, other factors

If you're doing your own design to accommodate main engine failure, it might
be smart to consider the impact of stabilizer failure.  If we would have
continued with our circumnavigation plans I would have added paravanes to
Alanui.  Since we opted for a near coastal route I didn't install them.
Remember when Uno Mas lost here stabilizers on the NAR:

Powering your hydraulic systems with the
Wing/Gen/Watermaker/Stabalizer/Battery Charger power unit might make a lot
of sense.  Wait, now with all that do I need a backup for these systems?  Oh
God, a backup for the backup!  What have we done!
