I bought a Prairie 36 trawler and, due to no documentation, I could use
answers to the following:

  1. The aft electra-san works OK but the fwd one only makes a solenoid
    clicking sound. Ideas?

Most likely a blown fuse, but could be more serious. Check your manual
first...if you don't have one, you can download print one for the
Lectra/San MC and ElectroScan versions from the Raritan website:
http://www.raritaneng.com/products/waste_treatment/lectrasan.html If
yours is the EC or older you can request a manual from Raritan, and also
tech support and any parts you need, by calling 800-352-5630 x 6.

  1. Do I need to use salt with every flush in the upper chesapeake?

Yes. there are two ways to do it: manually, a coffee measure in the bowl
with EVERY flush, even if flushing only urine...or via the appropriate
salt salt (optional from Raritan) for your toilet. You'll find links to
the literate and instructions for the salt tanks at the link above.
