OK, I've just been shown the bird, refound by a Napanee birder (name?) in
the marina beside the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel. This is at the end of
Johnson Street in downtown Kingston. Co-ordinates are 44.227442,-76.480638.

Directions as per Paul mackenzie yesterday:

Exit highway 401 at exit 615, Sir John A MacDonald Blvd, and go south until
it ends. Then left on King Street past the big smoke stack at Kingston
General Hospital. At the traffic light at Barrie Street continue on King
Street East to next traffic light at West Street. Turn right and follow this
round the bend at the Pumphouse Museum. It is now called Ontario Street.
Continue to next lights and turn right to reach marina.

However, there is no parking at this exact location. Park nearby and walk.

I'm heading back out to stay on top of the bird until about 11am (when I
have a meeting). Unfortunately, I don't have data so can't email etc. If you
wish to call me, feel free (till 11am) on 613-217-1246.

In the mayhem yesterday, I didn't actually name the local birder, Janis
Grant, who found this cracking bird just off her waterfront garden. Thanks
Janis!

Just a quick update that the Thick-billed Murre is currently being seen close to shore at the same directions as below (in the Marina area at the end of Johnson St).
