ROCK THE BOOKS ONE MORE TIME!
TRUCE (from Federal Way) and SIRENS IN THE SKY (Tacoma) - two popular south sound bands with a strong presence in the regional music scene take the stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 for the Tacoma Public Library's ROCK THE BOOKS summer all-ages concert series at Tacoma's downtown Main Library (1102 Tacoma Avenue South). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the free concert. The concert series is cosponsored by i-91 KVTI FM.
TRUCE has rocked the northwest music scene since 2003, gathering fans at an exponential rate with their overwhelming instrumentals and powerful lyrical expression. The band has performed throughout the Puget Sound, most recently at the SHOWBOX.
Opening for TRUCE is SIRENS IN THE SKY, a hardcore rock band from Tacoma that has been featured at Club Impact and the Viaduct.

"The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you never met, someone who even is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours."
[The History Boys, a play by Alan Bennett]
