That syndrome (which we experience every spring) is almost surely fuel
varnish obstruction someplace.  I know you have stated that you cleaned
everything but I would replace the jets (if they are replaceable) and double
check the carb (clean with real carb cleaner) and look onto every orifice
<G>.

8hp Nissan 2 stroke, runs for about 10 seconds (smoothly) and then dies.
Starts right back up with full choke, runs 10 seconds, dies.

I took the carb out and cleaned up EVERYTHING (cleaned all the gunked up
holes, float, etc.).  Air sprayed everything clean.  Reinstalled.
