First, a hearty "welcome back!" to our newly re-elected board members, Tom Nash and Carol Clymer, and an enthusiastic "welcome aboard!" to our new members, Rachel De Vaughan and Catrina Doxsee. I deeply appreciate you willingness to serve, and I'm looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

Second, we need to conduct a formal election of our board officers for the period Oct 1, 2019 - September 30, 2020. The slate is as follows:

• President: Deborah Kennedy

• Vice President: Michele Diecuch

• Treasurer: Kristin Lahurd

• Secretary: Christy Rhodes

We will vote on the slate as a whole, and we can conduct the election via email. Please respond with either "accept the slate" or "reject the slate" at your earliest opportunity.

Third, we need to find dates for our next three board meetings (Catrina and Rachel, these take place via phone conference, typically on Wednesdays 10-11:30 AM). Here are the possibilities. Please send in your votes asap.

October: 15 or 29

November: 6 (same day as policy call) or 20. Note that the Nat'l Summit on Adult Literacy is Nov 13.

December: 11 or 18
