Chester, 10/10: Hundreds of cedar waxwings flying over Wig Hill road, in groups of 5-12 birds at a time. ("Hundreds" is the best I can manage - I counted 130 in about 10 minutes, with more following. I'll avoid "tons". Suffice it to say they weren't "coconut-laden".)
Also large flocks of robins, with wood thrush and catbirds in the mix. Yellow-rumped warbler, two phoebes, one Cooper's hawk, one red-breasted nuthatch, and the white-throated sparrows have arrived.
Forgot to post this: saw female ruby-throated hummer in our yard on Butter Jones Rd. on October 5th.
