10/27 6:00 PM - 1 male Hooded Merganser (my first of the season), a Field Sparrow, and 2 - 3 other unidentified duck ssp. as seen from the grassy peninsula below the cement damn.  I also had 2 Pileated Woodpeckers in the pine trees near the picnic tables of the main entrance around 5:00 PM.
