I have used Steve's guides for years. They are the most carefully
edited information sources that exist. He has a website with a lot of
interesting stuff, http://www.islandhopping.com/
If you compare them to any of the other popular guides you find that he
offers 3 or 4 times as many options and destinations. Most of the other
guides annually update their advertising, not their charts. The most
popular guide to the Bahamas hasn't changed the routes in 20 or more
years. I got to meet the publisher, Joe Janson who runs Sea Worthy
Publications. I think they are the only publisher that specializes in
marine publications. The website is http://www.seaworthy.com/ and they
have a scratch and dent section where you can get books at a reduced
rate direct from them.
