All hands--
Last week, when I posted the riveting account of the scariest night
aboard Kosmos, I didn't know the blog was two months behind real
time. I've now heard from Eric and Christi Grab aboard their Nordhavn
43. Here's the update:
We are crossing the Atlantic now. Here is our position
http://saildocs.com/map?ll=25.70333,-18.80333&z=1. The blog is
behind real-time by 2 months at the moment. But it is loaded with
stories, so it will keep updating while we are crossing (see About
the Blog page on the site for more details).

We left from Las Palmas, Canary Islands two days ago and we are on
the way to Guadeloupe. It is a 2750nm passage. We expect it to take
19 days and burn about 1000 gallons of fuel. We have a crew member,
Colin, who is the soon to be owner of Nordhavn 40-65. All is well so
far.
We plan to complete our circumnavigation by returning to San Diego
in May 2009, then will go back to "real" life.
The Grabs started their circumnavigation in April 2007.

I hope they kept the ports closed!
