Does anyone have a source for the sliding door rollers on the bottom of
our Marine Trader 34 outside door? These are the originals and all worn
out, either brass or bronze. All I am finding are replacements for
sliding patio doors. If no replacements, what are other doing for the
slider? Thanks, Chuck

Speaking of door rollers - our 1986 Californian does not have a door to
enter our saloon but has a sliding hatch.  The hatch does not slide on
rollers but on a hard plastic(?) strip at the top and bottom of the hatch.
The top of the hatch has a U shaped metal bracket that attaches to the
plastic strip and wraps around the edges so it won't fall off as it slides.
The metal brackets are severely worn and the hatch is difficult to slide.
Anyone know where to get replacement parts?  I have tried several Carver
dealers to no avail.

Make up some sliders from scrap pieces of UHD plastic material. Much better
than the rollers (which have roller bearings in them), no problems and very
cheap solution.
