On Tuesday, April 17 we've scheduled the deletion of Thunderbird content
from mozilla.org. There will be a permanent rewrite redirecting all URLs
on mozilla.org to their respective URLs on thunderbird.net.

For further information see: Bug 1388914
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1388914 and Pull Request.
https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/pull/5477

There should not be any down time or impact on Thunderbird services. The
start page has already been served from thunderbird.net for a long time.
Note that Thunderbird downloads(the installer) themselves will continue
to be hosted by Mozilla in the same places as usual, this is only a
website content move.

I see that add-ons also still point to addons.mozilla.org. Is there any
time frame known when they will be moved to thunderbird.net or another
server?
Will it still be possible to localize the new websites on Pontoon?

Thunderbird.net has been on Pontoon for some time here:
https://pontoon.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbirdnet/

No information on thunderbird addons yet, sorry.
