I formed a "Group" on Yahoo that you can post photos on so others can view
them.  It is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Trawlerworldlist/  Anyone can
post their photos or other information.  If the TWL moderators wish to take
it over, please let me know.  Otherwise all TWL participants may use this
resource as an intermediate interface with each other  to share photos.

For example, I got about ten requests for pictures of the flybridge hardtop

made after I posted my construction story about a month ago....now I have
digital pictures but no way to post them as I do not maintain a website...

What are other listees thoughts???? Is this easy and cheap or time consuming
and expensive....??? I guess we'd need some rules to prevent personal
use.....For examples, only pictures to go with postings....maybe pictures
could be
labelled for identity and automatically deleted after a fixed period of
time??

It's always nice to have the ability to Show something in addition to
writing about it and I'm sure we all appreciate the effort that Bob
has put into this project just as we all appreciate Rex's picture site
at http://groups.msn.com/TrawlerMV/ .

Now for the party pooper part: As useful as they are to the trawler
community I need to point out that these sites are completely
independent of the Trawler World family of mailing lists and of
Trawler World Productions. We have no control or influence over the
content, safety, or confidentiality of material residing on these
sites. Further, we have no desire (or time!) to take on such a task.

Our list has been blessed with a number of independently run sites
that serve to enhance its content. In addition to the two picture
sites mentioned above there are also:

Mike Harrington's "HTML Digest" at www.hollowbox.net/digests . As the
name implies this site reformats our text only content into an 'eye
friendly' HTML style with a more robust threading capability.

Fred Wunderlich's TWL search engine at http://abaco.pwr.com/twl/ .
This is an easy to use search with several options for both searching
and displaying the results. Better yet, it's dedicated to Trawler
World List alone!

We all sincerely hope that the TWL membership finds these independent
sites to be both entertaining and useful..... But please don't come to
me if you have questions or difficulties!
