User interface brushup

Hello everyone,

I am a fan of openscad but totally new to this list so apologize if out of topic, but it is said you are open to new ideas.

I am using opens cad with children (around 9 years old and more). I found that the parallel between formulas and volumes:

  • is very interesting for education
  • is another way to understand programming with anchor to the real (one the file is pretend in 3D)

Nevertheless, Have you ever considered to provide a user interface with a scratch/snap look and feel ? it will be be a lot easier for beginners and children.

best

Cyril

DARPA also sponsored the development of the Internet (originally called
ArpaNet), along with a lot of other beneficial, open source tech we rely
on. They sponsor STEM education for kids because it ties in to their
mission of maintaining US technological superiority. For example,
