TRI CLUB WORKOUTS ATTENDANCE SURVEY - Week of March 29-April 4!... It's
Transition Week!
This is our weekly workouts attendance survey for the week of Monday, March
29 through Sunday, April 3. And this is a big week with us transitioning
to outdoor rides and a couple of workouts moving to a new day of the week,
so please give this a full read so that you are up to speed on the changes.
We are offering six workout options between Monday-Thursday and taking the
weekend off for the holiday (but don't be surprised if a Saturday bike ride
pops up!)! We will also post events for some of the workouts and you can
definitely indicate "Going / Maybe / Forget about it" to each of them, but
the responses to this survey will be what our coaches will use to determine
attendance... so please mark as many as you plan to attend.
Here's what's changing for the months of April-June...
• Tuesday evenings: We're moving outside for SRT interval rides on Tuesdays
whenever possible and this week the weather appears to be cooperating! Our
ride time will be a 6pm (sharp!) departure from the Reynolds Dog Park and
we'll wrap up around 7:15pm, just enough time to get in a short brick run
if you'd like! When the weather is poor, we may put together a late Zwift
meetup.
• Wednesday evenings: Karen Dunn's run workouts are moving from Thursdays
to Wednesdays starting this week. Same time... 6pm... and Karen will post
an event with the location and other details.
• Thursday mornings: The Friday morning swim is moving to Thursdays
effective this week. The time slot will be the same... 10:15am-11:15am.
• Thursday evenings: We'll also do an evening ride on Thursdays with a
start time of 6pm through April. We will wrap up around 7:15-7:30. If the
weather is poor, we may schedule a last minute Zwift meetup.
• Saturday mornings: We will schedule some events, such as Blue Marsh
swim/bike combos, French Creek rides, and Lake Nockamixon rides/runs, but
this is also a day where YOU can schedule a group ride with some advance
planning. I've been in touch with Jill Basile, Deb Rocco, and Patty
Trainer and all three are planning to also offer rides regularly as they
did last summer/fall. So watch for various events to be posted on a weekly
basis. We may occasionally throw in a Zwift meetup when weather conditions
are poor.
Besides that, Monday evening swims and Sunday morning swims are staying the
same (but no swim next Sunday/Easter).
All Spring Valley YMCA-based workouts do have capacity limits, so if we
have more athletes planning to attend a workout than we can accommodate,
we'll use a lottery to select the attendees and we'll communicate the
results via this Facebook group typically early in the day of the workout.
For our Tuesday and Thursday morning swims, the limit is 8. For the Monday
and Sunday swims the limit is 24. There are no limits for Zwift cycling
meetups or the Wednesday night run workouts.
So which workouts are you attending this week?
