I'll second that on mobile Weather Wunderground. It works on many modern "plain" phones too. I bookmark both the land and marine forecasts for the various points along the route. Loads quickly. Best solution we've found for this purpose.
I am in the cellular business, but have no commercial ties to these guys.

wunderground is on my front page of bookmarks on my mobile phone too. It is
excellent when you need quick information about land-based weather. Just
type in a town name and it gives you all of the data. It is very fast and
brings up the displays very quickly.
