Having spent most of last summer recaulking our top deck, I can attest to
the deleterious effects of teak oil on the bond between the caulking and the
teak. Furthermore, if the PO was as shortsighted as the current owner of
our boat, pressure washing only accelerates the process.
Our decks are now a natural weathered gray, and we've grown to like the
look. And it's not as hot on bare feet when the sun's shining on the deck.
