Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

Tommy,
I guess I don't understand the question. What I want to do is, via
wireless, use multiple computers with a single aircard in various areas of
the boat. I've read about "ad hoc connections between computers but I
believe they are connected by cable. Maybe I'm missing something that you
can explain to me.
Simply, I have 2 laptops and one Verizon aircard. How do I make them
work, wirelessly (at the same time), anywhere on my boat without moving the
aircard from one computer to another. and without having cables attached
between computers.
Your help will be greatly appreciated by this "electronic muddler".

John,
You may want to look at Kyocera KR1 Broadband EVDO Router with WiFi. This
configuration allows you to plug your aircard into the router then share the
internet connection via multiple PCs or laptops throughout the boat
wirelessly.
We are looking at installing this configuration on boat for the loop so we
can operate a laptop on the bridge (navigating and weather) and a PC in the
cabin for email, pictures, etc. Cost is reasonable and seems easy to
install.
You can get info at EVDOinfo.com
We have no affiliation with either the equipment or website.
