RC initially postponed, but only for a few minutes as breeze picked up. Course 12. At least 3 or more boats for each of three starts (Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Open Fleets).. Everyone managed to round the first mark (I think). The wind died, the ebbing current continued strong, and we all waited., drifted or anchored. No boat in any fleet had reached the 2nd mark of the course, before the RC abandoned the race about 8:10 p.m.

Under the 2019 Scoring Rules this race does not count for any series -- no scores calculated or incorporated into Wednesday Series Standings -- standings unchanged.

"Race Scoring – All Series

The following shall apply for purposes of scoring all races that occur at Nyack Boat Club:

1. For a race to count, at least two boats must compete in a division, and at least one boat racing in that division must finish the race. Such races are also referred to as “completed races”. "

Note, this is consistent with RRS 90.3(a):

Sunday Races, May 19

Fair weather brought five boas to the line for races on Sunday May 19. Thanks to the RC (Browne, Browne and Goldberg) for arranging such fine weather. Around noon it blew 15-20 kts, and for racing we had 10+kts. Here are race results for the two May 19 races
