These are the best-sleeping beds we've ever had ashore or afloat. A top quality 6" latex or foam mattress on top of the slats is superior to an innerspring IMHO. For ultimate luxury, add the Tempurpedic "mattress pad" to the top (it's a 2" thick mattress itself, yummy comfortable). PS - no rusty steel springs either.
