Bob,
Leonard Stern's post was on target. However, you may instead choose to
circulate RV antifreeze through your raw water system after pulling the boat.
This involves disconnecting your raw water intake hose at the seacock and
submerging it in a jug of RV antifreeze while running the engine long enough
to displace the water in the system. When the stuff comes out your exhaust
you know you're done.
The draining suggested by Leonard is also a good way to accomplish the same
end.
I also would change the oil.
There is a wealth of good winterization advice in the T&T archives. Go to
www.google.com and type in site:samurai.com winterize. I got 91 hits. In
particular, pay attention to tips found there about winterizing your hot water
heater, if you've not done that before..

I have been around boating and gas engines all my life, but this year I
am new to owning a diesel (1979 Lehman 120), and the 36 foot Albin.
Does anyone have a punch list of things to do to lay up this engine for
the winter? I am pulling her this weekend and she will be on the hard
until April.
Ocean Navigator's website has a profoundly detailed guide on this subject.
