Hello Ontbirders The Townsend's Solitaire originally found yesterday at #38 Rothwell Dr., and observed again this morning, returned again late this afternoon. It came in about 3:35, and flew off at 4:08. I waited for more than an hour before it flew in, landing on top of a tall white pine. Almost immediately, it came down low to feed on the buckthorn berries. It spent a few minutes feeding and preening before flying up high to a deciduous tree. It then spent several minutes continuously singing a soft, relaxed warble before flying off. DIRECTIONS courtesy of Christina Lewis: From the west - take Hwy 417 east to the Blair Rd. exit and go north on Blair, then right (east) on Ogilvie Rd, cross Montreal Rd. and then turn left on Naskapi Dr. which becomes Rothwell Dr. as you head north.
