Just to add to the earlier report, a few people looked for the kite at various times during the day today - all to no avail. Given the area of which the bird was apparently moving, and the lack of good long views, though, it would be very easy to not see it even if it was present. If anyone is in the area, I'd definitely take the time to drive the roads just south of Pleasant St. (around Hosmer Mt) scanning the skies. There are also a few spots just across the river in Willimantic itself, where it would be quite easy to set up in a parking lot and scan the hillside. Chris Elphick Storrs, CT elphick@sbcglobal.net
