Are motorized vehicles allowed on Milford Point now that it’s passed Labor Day? There are tire tracks all over the spit.

Last week there were even more.

There are no motorized vehicles allowed at Milford point 365 days a year,
below or above mean high water. If you observe any vehicles on the sandbar,
please do your best to document safely and email me at smartin@ctaudubon.org
.

Thanks!

Thanks Stefan for confirming what I was sure was the case.

There were lots of tire tracks on the Milford Point spit yesterday. They appear to be from golf carts. Most ended about half way out where they turned around. But I didn’t personally see any vehicles while I was there yesterday (Saturday).

Hopefully, everyone reading this will follow your directions

Lastly, past the tire tracks, there were also 2 sets of fresh dog prints. There are clear and obvious signs saying “No dogs allowed”. To me it’s sad and frustrating that people don’t care enough to comply.
