CALL FOR BOARD MEMBER NOMINATIONS
The SV Multisport Gators are electing new board members for 2-year terms
that will begin on January 1, 2022.  Anyone interested in nominating
someone or running for a board position should email (kcrowne@yahoo.com) or
private message Kerri Brannen (through Facebook Messenger).  If you are
nominating someone, in your message, please include the person’s name and
contact information, and the position for which you are nominating the
person.  If you would like to run for a position, then you may
self-nominate and in your message please include your name, the position
for which you wish to run, and your contact information.

Upon the closing of nominations, nominees will be asked to write a short
paragraph about themselves which includes some basic information, such as,
your membership in SV Multisport Gators and why you believe you would be a
good fit for the position. This paragraph may be included on a team email,
on the team Facebook page, and/or on the ballot when voting opens.

Nominations are open: August 29, 2021
Nominations close: September 26, 2021

Below is some information about the board positions:

ALL BOARD MEMBERS
• Participate in executive board meetings; includes prep for and follow-up
on any assigned actions. There are 4-6 meetings/year with each being
approximately 60-90 minutes in length.
• Participate in key discussions and decisions affecting the club. This
includes major expenditures, changes to membership benefits, participation
in major activities, etc.
• Participate in annual planning meeting with the club's YMCA liaison
• Be an ambassador for the club through regular participation in club
activities and events
• Assure continuity of leadership during transition from one officer team
to another
PRESIDENT (time commitment: average of 4 hr/month)
• Ultimate responsibility for leadership of the club
• Author annual letter to our members
• Provide President's address to members at annual members meeting
(December)
VICE-PRESIDENT (time commitment: average of 2 hr/month)
• Substitutes for the President if the President is not available
• Assumes position of President if current President is unable to complete
his term
TREASURER (time commitment: average of 4 hr/month)
• Maintains balance sheet for sponsorship funds which includes income and
expenses
• Coordinates with the YMCA on club expenses funded by the Y
SECRETARY (time commitment: average of 20 hr/month)
• Takes and distribute notes at all executive board meetings and annual
members meeting
• Takes and distributes notes at quarterly coaches meetings
• Handles significant amount of communications between officers
• Handles significant amount of communications to the club members
• Maintains club email list
• Maintains club Facebook group access list
• Maintains club roster
