ActiveCaptain Community Update
A new website for the ActiveCaptain® Community will launch on May 23. In
support of our growing user network, we’ve been working behind the scenes
to enlarge and improve the site infrastructure. See more details below.
We’re Boosting Data Security
New EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) for internet security and
user privacy rights take effect May 25, 2018. In conjunction with these
regulations, we’re taking the opportunity to improve your ActiveCaptain
Community experience with updated servers and new website design.
eBoatCards Will Be Phased Out
Low usage levels and the need to improve data security have prompted us to
discontinue eBoatCards and its companion app, ActiveCaptain Locations. If
you currently have pictures or contact information you want to save from
the eBoatCards site, click here to learn how.

We’re Making a Few Tweaks
Look for a simplified map interface along with new marker updates that give
you more ways to locate, identify and contribute points of interest. (Note:
users will no longer have the ability to create routes on the new website.)
Have existing routes you want to save? Click here for details.

Still Free — and Getting Better
The ActiveCaptain Community will remain a free resource, connecting you
with user-generated information for boaters. We are committed to growing
the community with you, so watch for more updates. Happy boating!
