Top 50 Program Announcement & Other IMLA Deadlines
Top 50 Members -
We have finalized the details of the 2026 Top 50 meeting and wanted to share those with you as well as some reminders/deadlines for other IMLA events happening this year.
IMLA's 2026 Top 50 Program will take place in Philadelphia, PA. There will be a reception and/or dinner on June 3rd and on June 4th we will hold and all-day meeting with a dinner/reception following. IMLA has secured a room block at the Logan - we will send out the booking link once we have it and ask that you only book through that link so you can be in our block of contracted rooms. As a reminder, this is an event geared specifically for chief legal officers of large local governments and their top deputies. It is not for CLE but provides an opportunity to meet with your peers from around the country to talk about law office management and other pertinent topics to large population centers. Last year we spent about half the time talking about changes from the federal government and their impacts on large population centers and the other half on law office management. We anticipate a similar schedule this year.

Other IMLA Reminders:
- Our 2026 Event Bundle ends today. This is a lower price to attend both the Mid-Year Seminar and Annual Conference. If you or individuals in your office are planning to attend them, this is the most cost-effective way to do that! If you'd like to register you can fill out the registration formhttps://imla.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/2026-Event-Bundle-Form.pdf and send it back to myself.
- Our Mid-Year Seminar in DC in April is shaping up to be an excellent event. We are still looking for some speakers, particularly for our Section 1983 programming track. Speakers receive a discounted registration rate to the event. If you or someone in your office would like to speak, please email Deanna (dshahnami@imla.orgmailto:dshahnami@imla.org).
- The Super Saver (lowest rates) for the Mid-Year Seminar expire tomorrow. If you need to get in registrations, get them in by EOD tomorrow, 1/16, to ensure you lock in the lower rate. - We are hosting a virtual Code Enforcement program February 25-26. We have group rates, 2-9 attendees 50% off each registration & 10+ attendees 75% off each registration, that make it a great option for offices to sign up more people. If you are interested in leading a discussion on a particular topic relevant to the group, please let me know. I anticipate we'll want to spend about half the day talking about issues related to the federal government and the other half on law office management. But as you all know, we cater the discussion to what is most relevant to you. To that end, please reach out if you have a topic or something you'd like to see on the agenda.
