//Snip// Would the group like to comment on installing a microwave/convection
combination versus a separate microwave and conventional oven?
Bill, our boat came equipt with a cook top with 4-burners. It also had a convection microwave oven uner the cooktop. Pat hated that setup. She was Ok with the cooktop, but didn't like the convection microwave at all. She wanted a "real" oven. So, being the dutiful husband who wants to keep her happy so I can keep spending BU's on the boat, I changed it out and replaced it with a Force 10 range that has a 3-burner ceramic top and a real oven. With just a little work it fit in the same footprint as the original equipment and was a pretty easy install. She loves it. To be honest, I was just fine with the original equipment. It worked fine, but then, I'm not the galley wench (I'm the maintenance guy). In the end I think it's all a matter of preference. If you and your crew prefer one over the other, then there's your answer.
