AC Location on GB42

My 42 Woodie had been in Lake Superior for most of its life. As a result it
was well equipped with heat. However, homeport is New Bern, NC and AC is a
necessity. I have a self-contained 16K BTU unit under the settee in the
main salon.  But in this 90-degree plus heat it is not adequate.  So I am
trying to decide on the best location for a second unit that would cool
the  forward end of the salon.  There aren't any easily accessible
locations like under the settee.  So here is my question:  Has anyone put
an AC unit in a seat on the bridge with a duct in the ceiling? Because cold
air settles, it would be an efficient location. What would be the negatives?
Many thanks

I added a second 16K split unit (first 16K unit was self-contained
under settee like yours) into the port side console.  The compressor
was in between the two portside fuel tanks.  Until I pulled down the
overhead vinyl and installed an inch and a half of insulating foam up
there, nothing was going to be enough.  I also added white
textalene-type exterior window shades made by Rudy.
