From Dan Rottino:
3/3/13-Groton, Beach Pond Park near Eastern Pt--9:30am; 1 PURPLE SANDPIPER feeding on a barnacle covered rock close to the main building.

3/3/13-Waterford, Harkness SP--10am; 5 BLACK SCOTER, 2 WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, 7 SURF SCOTER, 1 NORTHERN GANNET, 13 COMMON EIDER.

All 3 Scoter species and eiders first found by Sara and Tina.  I arrived later and found different numbers of each.  Black scoters and white-winged scoters have been a little scarcer lately.  They were straight out and to the right of the flags.  There are probably more out a little further.

They've gotta be somewhere.
