I have a Motorola V710 phone that I use with a Verizon America's Choice
plan. I don't travel very much, and am not able to cruise right now. I have
managed to get the phone and my computer connected with Bluetooth, and have
used the phone as a modem to dial up an ISP.I managed to achieve a very slow
connection. I don't know how to attempt to connect any other way. The phone
has mini-browser capability, but this is all fee-based stuff that does not
interest me.
Has anyone used VoIP with the data only service? It wouldn't replace a cell
phone, but would be a useful option if it works. Data is data isn't it?

Jack, no need to dial up your ISP, Verizon will simply dump you on the
internet (ISPs and email servers are two different and unrelated animals).
A wealth of info is available, of all places, on the Verizon web site under
Data Support, here:

Note that you now DL the Mobile Office Kit software (VZAccess, Download
Software), so all you need to do is google a cable (or nothing, in Jack's
case).
