a DPDK-based transport, and several other features and bug fixes.

Can we still expect to see MPM support (and presumably DPDK support)
on E310/E312 devices? Last July it sounded like there was ongoing work to
update the E31x codebase to support these kinds of features.

Hi Kurt,

There is work being done to convert the E310/2 to the MPM architecture, but
it is not ready for release yet.

DPDK is only supported on devices that have an additional management
interface such as the N3xx. It should work on the E320, but I have not
tested it yet. The UHD DPDK implementation requires the separate management
interface as it only currently handles UDP packets and doesn't support the
MPM TCP RPC commands or the device initialization.

Additional the streaming restrictions of the E31x USRPs over the 1Gb
interface are due to the routing through the onboard ARM processor, even if
DPDK was supported on the E31x, it would not make any performance
improvements for that device.

Regards,
Nate Temple
