Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsMarge,
How easy it is for you to sit on your a** in Fairhope and criticize those
of us who happen to be fulltime cruisers, it never ceases to amaze me how
often you insult other people on the list. Calling those of us who happen
to like to save money "freeloaders" shows just how ignorant you are. Over
the past 3 years Life's2Short has spent well over a 100,000 dollars enjoying
this lifestyle, a major proportion of that money on marina services. If
you would have actually read my posting you would read that I was just
stating an FYI for the folks who might be looking to save a buck or two. I
happen to have spent many a night and many a dollar with Chip and the gang at
Grand Harbor over the years, and yes it is a lovely marina with many fine
staff members. However one of the nice things about enjoying the Tennessee
River system is the availability of free pump outs at the vast majority of
marinas up here. So I stick by my guns and still wish that marinas would
offer free or very inexpensive pump-outs in this part of the world. I'm OK
that you differ with that opinion, that's what makes this country great.
But insulting folks you have never met and never talked to is just plain
uneducated.
I had planned on taking you up on your previous offer of stopping at the
Fairhoope marina and letting you tour us around the area, however I think I
will take my freeloading ways and spend some money with Ricky and the staff
over at Dog River Marina when I come through Mobile later this month.
Mr. Russo,
Not even going there with you.........

Why on earth would you expect a free pumpout if you are not stopping at
their marina? What's with all this entitlement c__p anyhow? Grand Harbor is
one lovely marina, I kept Cinderella there. But as they are right at the
top
of the Tenn-Tom...how could they ever pump out every boat that passed?
Aqua
Yachts is lovely too, but you have to go out of your way to get there so
it's not so likely they'll get so many free-loaders like you.
