​5/14 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center 10-12:30PM high tide rising, overcast, 58F 3 Ospreys in area. Female osprey on the nest . Male came around 10:20, visited on the nest and then left. Female stayed on nest doing some housekeeping. On the marsh and grounds: Common Tern, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, 500+ Brant strewn across marsh, Mallards, Mute swan, 2 Yellow crowned Night herons. Purple Martins in the gourds-but not nesting yet. Common Grackles with 3 nests in area, mourning doves with a nest in area, Tree Swallows, American Robins, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Red winged blackbirds, House finches. And the 2 SWAINSONS THRUSHES continue in my front yard in Orange. Bev Propen, Orange
