[Ontbirds] Snowy Owls in Mississauga

I finally got to see the Mississauga Snowy Owls which my friend Adam
Kubat has been reporting to me for the last three weeks. He's even got a
wonderful video of one on a lamp post. Today I saw the nearly pure white
male along with two immature female birds flying between the industrial
buildings along Annagem Blvd. between Edwards St. and Kennedy Rd. The
best time to see these guys has been before 8:30 am as they tend to
roost on top of the flat-top buildings as the morning progresses,
rendering them undetectable to those of us who must walk along at ground
level. Who knows how long they'll be around, but they're a lovely group
to see, none-the-less.

If you're sharp you may also see a nesting pair of Kestrels. I won't way
where, but you'll see them along the same street being busy about their
spring-time enterprize.

Take the 401 East to Hurontario Exit, head north (left) two blocks from
the exit to Annagem Blvd. (one block north of the light at World Drive.)
Go East (right) on Annagem Blvd and start looking on top of all the
buildings along that road when you pass Edwards St. One immature bird
likes the building at 190 Annagem, others prefer to sit on buildings at
325 Annagem, and the silos between the buildings. Good luck.
