Observed from my home in NW Bristol: Blue Birds arriving in pairs and checking out houses, sometimes 8-10 are here, mostly males. Lone Song Sparrow starting to visit under the feeder. Mourning Doves. Red Winged Blackbirds are starting to perch and screech to spread the word of their arrival. Redpolls on occasion. Cedar Waxwings. Mockingbirds. Cooper, Northern Harrier and Red Tail hawks. Male and female Cardinals are dodging in an out of the brush and pines. Juncos-Male and female ground feeding. Everyday a new returning bird or flock appears. Larks are gone.
