>From Bob Shoemaker, Dick Leonard and I were the Race Committee last night. We went out and started Fleet one. There were no starters. We then started Fleet two, with one starter (Spectra). Course 8, the wind speed (from the East) was in the range of 5 to 7 near the starting line, but became much weaker near the Eastern side of the River (Mark E) After rounding that mark, the one entrant had little wind and withdrew. The one entrant and crew thanked us for running a race. We admired their willingness to race in the rain. It was quite a pretty evening on the river. Bob Shoemaker
