Had a lone Pine Siskin in with the 4 Goldfinch I see daily today. The 3rd visit in 2 months or so. This lone bird must be in my area but wanders about. I also get a pair of Purple Finch visit the feeders for a brief stay every week or so, (as 4 House Finch do as well) but not every day. Anyone else getting Purple Finch this year?

Paul - Purple Finches are moving through the yard here in Goshen. Most times, one or two individuals briefly stop by feeders, tank up and move on. This has been going on since late summer. Last week, three of them stayed for three days but that was a weather-related exception.
