This is another power grab by the HS folks. Most of what they do is just
for show to the average citizen, so it can be said that they are doing
something. If they would only turn this into a police state then they could
keep track of all of us. They know who the terrorists are and it ain't us.

While I am not in favor of this proposal I think Homeland Security is not
trying to scare us but to look for ways to protect us.
I get a big laugh out of this kind of thing.
Right off the bat, is there anybody in America
that thinks the terrorists give a hoot about
operating a boat illegally?
Is there anybody in America that thinks they will
not just steal the boat they are going to DIE in?
Why would anybody think that requiring law
abiding citizens to get another piece of paper (or
plastic) will make us safe from people who are
going to DIE just to blow something UP???
More "keep people scared and they will vote for
US" jive thinking.
